The Bank Top Café at Dawley Baptist Church has been providing the local community with a 2 course meal every Friday since 2013.

They have recently received funding with thanks to Borough Councillors for Malinslee & Dawley Bank, Cllr Shaun Davies and Cllr Elise Davies. This has also been match-funded by Great Dawley Town Council and Lawley & Overdale Parish Council.

The funding received will help the cafe and its volunteers to continue to provide the much-needed and most valuable service to the local community.

The Cafe is a joint initiative between the Church and volunteers who not only provide weekly meals but also a place for residents to socialise and form friendships.

Up to 50 meals are served each week and the cafe also hosts monthly bingo and quizzes. Residents of all ages attend the sessions, which are very popular during the school holidays.

All are welcome to attend every Friday from 11:30am to 2pm for a free meal with an opportunity to make a donation if people are able to.
