Malinslee Big Picnic returns next week with a day of FREE family fun

Families Enjoying a Picnic at the Malinslee Big Picnic

Great Dawley Town Council is inviting families to enjoy a packed afternoon of free entertainment as the much-loved Malinslee Big Picnic returns next week.

Taking place at St Leonard’s Field, Malinslee, on Wednesday 5th August, from 10am until 2pm, the free community event will once again bring together local residents for a fun-filled day during the school summer holidays.

Families can enjoy a fantastic range of activities including face painting, balloon modelling, inflatables, funfair rides, crafts, glitter tattoos and a climbing wall. New for this year is a spectacular Birds of Prey display, giving visitors the chance to get up close with some incredible birds throughout the day.

The Malinslee Big Picnic has become one of Great Dawley Town Council’s most popular summer events, providing families with a free day out, encouraging people to spend time together outdoors, and bringing the local community together in a welcoming environment. Families are encouraged to bring along their own picnic and blanket to make the most of the day.

Cllr Ben Carter, Mayor of Great Dawley, said:

“The Malinslee Big Picnic is one of the highlights of our summer events programme, and we’re delighted to be bringing it back for another fantastic year. It’s a wonderful opportunity for families and neighbours to come together, enjoy a free day of activities and create lasting memories during the Summer holidays. With plenty of entertainment on offer, including our brand-new Birds of Prey display, we look forward to welcoming everyone to St Leonard’s Field for what promises to be another brilliant community event.”
