Great Dawley Town Council is delighted to announce the return of Dawley Day for 2026, taking place on Saturday 13th June, 11:00am – 4:00pm, across Dawley High Street and Dawley Park.

A highlight in the Great Dawley calendar, Dawley Day promises a vibrant celebration of community spirit, offering a full day of free rides and attractions for the whole family. Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of activities throughout both locations, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors to the town.

This year’s event introduces exciting new attractions, including sumo suits, a boxing and dance machine, adding even more excitement to the day. In celebration of the World Cup season, Dawley Park will also host a penalty shootout and a football freestyler, giving children the chance to test their football skills in a fun and engaging setting.

Alongside the activities, there will be a programme of live musical entertainment at the Bandstand on the High Street. Performers will be announced in the coming weeks via Great Dawley Town Council’s social media channels.

Community engagement remains at the heart of Dawley Day, with a wide range of local Community Stalls, activities, and attractions showcasing the very best of what Dawley has to offer. We also work with local High Street businesses to encourage shopping local, with special discounts available in shops on the day.

Cllr Ben Carter, Mayor of Great Dawley, said:

“Dawley Day is always one of the standout moments in our community calendar. It’s a fantastic opportunity to bring people together, celebrate everything that makes Dawley special, and welcome visitors to experience our town. We’re proud to offer a day full of free activities for families, and I’d encourage everyone to come along and be part of it.”

Great Dawley Town Council invites everyone to join in the celebrations and enjoy a day filled with fun, entertainment, and community pride.
