Christmas Service Changes

As we quickly approach the Christmas season, there will be a number of changes to the services provided by Great Dawley Town Council.

Council Offices: Our offices will be closing on Friday 19th December 2025, and will reopen on Monday 5th January 2026. – During this time, we will be unable to respond to emails or phone calls. If you need to report a problem, you can still do so via the out-of-hours numbers listed by clicking here.

Community Buildings: Our community buildings will be closed for hire from Friday 19th December2025, and will reopen on Monday 5th January 2026. If you visit our buildings as part of a weekly group-session, please reach out to your group leader in regards to operating hours during Christmas.

Library Service: The Dawley & Malinslee Community Library will be closing for Christmas on Friday 19th December2025, and will reopen on Monday 5th January 2026. This also includes the freephone, and Telford Online services. Telford & Wrekin Council’s online library, which features a wide range of eBooks, eAudio and eMagazines will be operating as normal. – This can be accessed for free by signing into your Library account here: https://loom.ly/JxIKPRU

Dawley Dinner:Our Weekly Dawley Dinners will be finishing from Friday 12th December 2025, and normal operations will resume on Friday 9th January 2026

Youth Club: Our Youth Clubs will be finishing on Thursday 11th December 2025, and will be back on Monday 5th January 2026

Baby Babble Sessions: There will be no regular Baby Babble Session during December. Our monthly sessions will resume from Tuesday 27th January 2026

Chatty Club’s: There will be no regular Chatty Clubs throughout December. However, we are holding a “Christmas Chatty Cafe” in partnership with Telford Mind, taking place at Dawley Town Hall on Wednesday 10th December. 
Dawley Chatty Club will resume on Monday 26th January, and Malinslee Chatty Club will resume on Tuesday 27th January 2026.
