High Street Task Force Provides Support to Local Businesses

Great Dawley Town Council, along with Telford & Wrekin Council and local High Street businesses, welcomed a representative from the High Street Task Force to help unlock the High Street’s potential.

On 26th January, Great Dawley Town Council, along with Telford & Wrekin Council and local High Street businesses, welcomed Chris Gregory from Heartflood, a registered expert from the government initiative, High Street Task Force “Unlocking Your Place Potential” programme.

Chris spent a couple of hours speaking to representatives from the Borough Council, Town Council and local business owners on how the High Street can be improved.

During the meeting, Chris presented a presentation showing how High Streets can be regenerated through the programme. The Clerk of Great Dawley Town Council also presented a presentation on the how the High Street and local area is seen from the Town Councils perspective.

Great Dawley Town Council and Telford & Wrekin Council would like to say thank you to Chris for giving his insight on how the High Street can be improved. We would also like to say a massive thank you to all the local High Street businesses that attended the event.
