Exciting Urban Games in Great Dawley this February Half Term!

Telford & Wrekin Council is back with an exciting lineup of Urban Games events that will take place across Great Dawley during the upcoming February Half Term. From nature-inspired art to thrilling BMX races, there’s something for all children to enjoy. So, mark your calendars and get ready for a week of fun and excitement!
Wild Telford at St Leonard’s Church Field – Tuesday, 13th Feb (11 am – 2:30 pm)
Kick off the week at St Leonard’s Church Field, where you can unleash your creativity with nature collages and clay leaf printing. Dive into the world of nature art and let your imagination run wild. This event promises to be a fantastic way to connect with the great outdoors and get in touch with your artistic side.
Malinslee Pump Track – Thursday, 15th Feb (10 am – 12 pm)
Head over to the Malinslee Pump Track located off Alma Avenue for a thrilling morning of adventure. Whether you’re an experienced rider or a newbie, the pump track offers endless excitement for riders of all levels. Bring your bike and helmet to take part in the action-packed event.
Telford Bike Hub at Aqueduct MUGA – Thursday, 15th Feb (1:30 pm – 3:30 pm)
After your morning pump track adventure, make your way to the Telford Bike Hub at Aqueduct Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA). Test your cycling skills and have a blast at this fantastic location. It’s the perfect opportunity to hone your biking abilities and enjoy some outdoor fun.
Telford Flyers BMX Track – Friday, 16th Feb
Friday is set to be an adrenaline-pumping day at the Telford Flyers BMX Track. The day is divided into two sessions:
- Coaching Session (10 am – 12 pm): If you’re between the ages of 8 and 16 and have your bike and helmet, this coaching session is perfect for you. Learn from experienced instructors and enhance your BMX skills.
- BMX Racing Session (12 pm – 2 pm): The excitement continues with the BMX racing session in the afternoon. Make sure to attend at least one pump track session before joining the Friday race session. With a maximum of 16 riders, it’s a race you won’t want to miss!
Please remember to wear long sleeves and trousers for safety. All participants must have their bikes and helmets, and for the Friday racing session, attending at least one pump track session is mandatory.
These Urban Games events are a fantastic opportunity to get active, explore the outdoors, and have a blast during the February Half Term. Don’t miss out on the fun!
These are all FREE drop-in events, so there is no need to book in advance; just turn up on the day and have fun!
