Councillor Margaret Hunt

I have lived in Dawley since 1991 and have really enjoyed being part of the community and shaping its future for all generations. I retired from my NHS Career in 2008, working as a Principal Scientific Officer. I have a keen interest in the traditional folk arts including music, dance and drama and also in contemporary art forms and have organised several local community arts events, including the ‘Upbeat Dawley Weekender programme’. In 2017 I worked in Partnership with Dawley Town Hall and Dawley High Street.

I have worked as a locum at Malinslee Medical Practice and currently I am a member of the PPG – Patients Participation Group at Dawley Medical Practice. I have joined the Town Council to work for and on your behalf, the community and want to create new social opportunities through the arts for everyone
